This Summer's Favorite Recipes

Pizza bread with this sauce (Check here for alternatives to canned tomato goods.)

Giant black bean salad (I would halve the amount of beans if you are just not that crazy about beans. Or you could use the leftover beans to make black bean and cheese quesadillas)

Blueberry muffins (After all, I need to use up all the blueberries that we picked for the first time ever in my life!)

Creamy Egg Salad with shallots, bacon, and watercress (I totally recommend you subscribe to get American Taste Test Kitchen's free newsletter)

Popeye's Favorite Smoothies (I confess that my children were not thrilled with this but I thought it was delicious. I wished I made green smoothies for them when they were younger. But I am going to keep on making it and hope for the best!)

Cherry Pie (I never liked cherry pie that much until I tried this recipe. Use sour cherries! But I think the crust had too much butter. It was scrumptious, but it was a mess with the butter dripping all over my oven! Everyone loved this pie.)

Lazy Mom's Guksoo (Recipe below)

Make broth with anchovies and kelp. Remove anchovies and kelp and add shrimp and mussels.
Add minced garlic, soup soy sauce, salt.

Boil Korean noodles. (Makgooksoo)The white thin kind. After boiling, add a cup of cold water and boil again. Drain.

Put noodles in bowl. Ladle some broth with seafood. Voila! Kid-friendly and very simple.
