It's always been easier for Koko to make actual animals with clay than drawing. It's a bird, by the way.

Generally, she loves to scribble free-form and narrate all kinds of stories while doing so without making anything concrete. But one day, she said, "Mom, look at this frog!"

And a few days later, "Mom, look at this fox."

And this week, she drew this pig. (She drew this with pen and I went over it with a black sharpie. Mental note: Use a thin sharpie next time!) She says it's Wilbur from
Charlotte's Web. I suspect she was scribbling and then realized that it looked like something concrete and then she went from there to make it look more so. But then again, what to adults look like scribbling can be purposeful to kids!
