For the past month or so, Koko was a puzzle fiend. She liked the
body puzzle pictured above, but she was just as crazed about those cheap cardboard puzzles from Walmart. She also likes to do a sorting activity where she stacks all the individual body parts together. My two year old just likes to take every piece out so she can see "Dem bones." Her baby doll is always naked as well.

Stamping. All I can say is that I wish I purchased self-inking stamps. It seems to me that my toddler and ink stamp pads are a lethal combination. Cheeky has ruined so many clothes and her face and hands have been ink-stained for days. Not to mention the color box tablets and geometric solids.
Groan.

Cheeky showed some interest with pouring beans. She's still getting the hang of it. Sometimes she tilts an empty cup to a full cup and I'm like, "Gal, you're not pouring anything." But she still does this with absolute concentration. Maybe she thinks she's pouring air.

She can do some easy sorting.

I returned the beloved elephant bank to the shelf and she was plunking away.

Which lead to this impromptu coin sorting activity for Koko. Mommy Me's
recent post reminded me of this easy activity. We casually talked about the names which she pretty much already knew, but now I am thinking of how to teach monetary values. Any ideas?

And a little sowing for our soon-to-be garden. Today, Koko noticed that the seeds sprouted and exclaimed, "Sa gi nah suh" which means, "There are sprouts!" which lead to a rousing round of a favorite Korean kid song, 'Sak Sak Sa gi nah suh yo.' (translation: Sprouts are growing.)
It's interesting to see how their interest in things wanes and grows. In the fall months, all they wanted to do was the pink tower, brown stairs, and red rods. Later in winter, their interest shifted to the knobbed cylinders. Now, for Cheeky, she only wants to do the knobless cylinders and Koko's into the moveable alphabet. What's in store next?
