My Twosome.

Cheeky is fascinated with Curious George. It's been elevated to potty reading. But some hospital scenes scare her. "Moo-su-wuh," (translation: I'm scared) she says, but still keeps on looking intently.

I love how Koko "reads" to Cheeky though the little one is more occupied with dancing.

Here's a recent conversation with Koko:

K: Mom, I am very tall.
Me: Yeah?
K: I am a giant.
Me: Oh.
K: I am much taller than Emily.*
Me: Um...she is a little taller than you.
K: No, I am taller than her! Much taller!
Me: Oh?
K: She says she is bigger. She says I am small, but I'm not.
Me: Hmmm...
K: I am big. I am as big as you. Soon I will get married.
Me:!!!!

* Emily is special to us because she was born at the same time, at the same hospital, on the same day! Our doctors were betting who would come out first! But she's super tall and about a head taller than my girl. Both my husband and I were the shortest kid in class until 7th grade.

I've been writing about practical life skills (here and here) a lot these days, and I noticed that my girls like to help me fold clothes when I finally get around to doing it. Koko is getting pretty good. She can fold shirts, pants, and towels. Cheeky is happy to just put the washcloths away in the designated bathroom drawer. While we were folding, Koko announced that she would fold her own clothes; I could fold everyone else's. But while I was folding some of my socks, she said, "Mom, when you're done folding, put your socks next to my socks so we can be next to each other."

Such love.
