Cool Mesh Art Project

I had this idea for this mesh art project.

You need:
-Some mesh, whether from a laundry bag or the mesh used to hold oranges or onions.
-Tempera paint (Black and another contrasting color work best, but any two colors will do.)
-A roller brush (ideally two; one for each color)
-paper
-2 plates (one for each color)

Cut up some of the mesh into a small square or any shape you want, and then dip the mesh in the plate with black paint and use the roller brush to imprint it on paper. Proceed with other color.
It should look something like this.

My children took a stab at my cool art project, but then abandoned it totally to make several pages of footprints that covered the floor. Go figure.
