The girls are fascinated with all the Monarch caterpillars in our milkweed that was gifted to us from a kind neighbor.
We are looking at mushrooms at a totally different light ever since we started making spore prints (Thanks, Hope emo.) Basically, you cut off the stalks of the mushrooms and put the gills face down. Cover overnight with a bowl or even a bottle cover. I've found that it's helpful to find two of the same variety of mushrooms and place one on black paper and white paper because it's hard to know what color the background paper should be to display the spores the best.
I'm in the process of using up all the frozen cherries and berries from last summer to make room for strawberry, cherry, and blueberry season!
I'm loving doing CSA and learning something new about the bounty God has given us. Last week, I learned that chives have flowers.
I am salivating thinking about patbingsoo desserts and dak galbi, some Korean foods that just shout summer to me. Not to mention watermelon.
I am so moved by this song and testimony.
I am enjoying summer and hope you are too!

Desserts? But, yeah... I'd mistaken Kim Walker with Kim Hill (of worship/women's-conferences fame). Here's that Kim Hill rendition of an oldie I was thinking of the other day:
"You Are Still Holy"

So, did you like the Kim Walker's song?
I guess "How He Loves Us" is okay, but I probably like the more popular songs by Hillsong in the last few years more, like "Hosanna," "At the Cross," and "Mighty to Save."
I've been so out of the loop with praise music that I don't even know these songs. I'll tell E about them. He's on the hunt for praise songs and somehow he stumbled on Kim Walker's.
+ Best musical version of "Hosanna" with Brooke Fraser Ligertwood & Hillsong United:

Check 'em out!
Woohoo! You finally did the spore prints! Pretty cool, huh! Reminds me of being 16 y/o at Lane Tech doing field work biology collecting shroom specimens in the forest preserves...how did time fly by so fast?!?!?!
