Easter
The children woke up on Easter morning to a basket of musical instruments outside their bedroom door. We made a joyful noise and proclaimed in loud voices, "Jesus has risen!" This weekend was busy with Easter retreats and Easter plays (K was a disciple). The children had fun egg hunts, new books, origami paper, and then the annual egg dyeing with natural dyes.
This time we used onion skins and, red cabbage, and beets, and the onion skin and red cabbage turned out so lovely. I didn't have much success with the beets. Maybe I need to grate them and then squeeze? I always had noticed this strange film on my eggs and now realize that you need to wash the eggs with soap before dyeing to get rid of the film. It makes dyeing so much better.
It's been such a long winter, but Easter is always a reminder of God's forgiveness and the sure hope and joy of the resurrection. I leave you with this video with more info here. (ht: Holy Experience) Just imagine in heaven how we'll be dancing and singing praising together!
Happy Easter! He has risen!

Happy Easter! I love your idea of giving musical instruments to make a joyful easter noise!!! So sweet! Thanks for your blog!
Thanks for the recommendation! I added it to my Netflix account. I can't wait to watch it. Sounds fascinating!
Did you check out the Korean website? You probably don't use the computer for the kids yet but it might be worth checking out for the future.
