I've had these consonant blends cards out for some time. I didn't bother cutting out the consonant blends cards, but just left out the page in its entirety in the bedroom. Koko found it and would go through the blends from time to time, sometimes right before bed.
Early this week, she decided that she would make words for each blend. Some were easier than others, but she insisted that she would make them without my help. But after some difficulties with the ones with question marks, I gave her little hints.

Even though I was an English major and a language arts teacher, I never mastered phonics so I am learning along with her. Thanks to Dayani, my Montessori teacher friend who went through the blends to make sure I was pronouncing them correctly.
