Montessori 3-Part Cards on my Brain

Between the music class, tutoring, babysitting, and my first beginner sewing class (!) I've been busy this summer. While it's harder to get the kids to even step foot in the quiet room, we've still been busy learning. And I'm trying to get one step ahead of my oldest so I actually know what I'm talking about!

I've started preliminary work in making the Montessori 3-part cards by copying, downloading, printing, and doing some coloring (see the pictures above; I am trying to imitate these cards my Montessori directress friend made for her elementary class), but the important work that needs to be done is mastering the terms myself. I now know the parts of a fish, bird, horse, flower, and am working on clouds and landforms which is a lot harder than I thought. And on top of that, I'm trying to learn these terms in Korean. Urgh, my brain is not working so well.

So, I've been debating whether I should purchase a laminator or not, especially since I am homeschooling versus having an actual classroom, and especially since I kind of loath plastic. After downloading a bunch of free downloads (see the left side links for free downloads!) I realized that I would have made my life a lot simpler by printing these nice 3-part cards in cardstock instead of regular paper. Oh well, live and learn.

Edited to add: Amber of Adventures of a Rainbow Mama made this cool 3-part card pouch!

I bought a cheap laminater and only use it occasionally! Mine was about $25.

Where? So, you don't think it's worth it?

I got it at Costco. Not sure if it is worth it but with 3...maybe!
