Easy Baby Pants and EC waist band

While everyone else in my beginner sewing class struggled with an actual purchased pattern, I opted for the easy route and made some very simple baby pants. I first made the striped baby pants on the left from an old T-shirt with this tutorial. I think my friends would recognize that shirt....I made the yellow pants from with this tutorial and pattern. Still, for a novice like me, I struggled my way through both projects and the sewing instructor was a great help. But for you experts out there, you will be able to whip out these pants in 30 minutes or less.

As for the EC elastic waist band, when I first did EC with my second at three months, I saw this at the EC store and improvised with baby headbands. But now that this upcoming baby is supposed to be a boy, I didn't want to use flowery headbands and hence, that's why I made the waist band myself.

These waist bands are great for holding up a prefolds in the summer months. It makes a great Tarzan look!

Girl, if I can learn to sew,(and truly, I barely do)anyone can learn! Once I become more skilled and actually own a machine, I'll show you!
