*Edited to add: A commenter mentioned that the actual order is to first introduce the beads, then the teen board, and then do the teen board together with the beads.

Montessori Monday: Teen Bead and Board
After introducing the teen board,* you can present the teen bead and board. My friend showed me a different way to present the teen bead and board. I hope I got this right.
Start off with placing all the 10 rods on the left. (The last 10 rod with the empty slot was a mistake. Oops!) Say, "This is 10."
Slide the numeral one to the right. Then place the 10 rod to the right and say, "Ten"and count the red "one" bead and say, "This is eleven." Point to the numerals and say, "This is eleven."
You keep on doing the same procedure until you reach "19." By doing this activity, children can visually see, touch, and conceptualize teen numbers.
I actually keep the 10 golden rods in one container
and the colored beads in another.

The order of presentation is actually:
1)Beads alone.
2)Board alone
3)Beads and board together.
Thanks! I believe you are correct. I think my friend showed me (3) for homeschooling purposes. But I will add your note and revise my post.
