Thankful Thursday--2008 Recap

Our one year's membership at the Brookfield Zoo. It was worth every penny. We went often on my husband's day off. It was also his first year working as a nurse. My husband and I loved watching the giraffes. He'd never seen them before.

Koko took an art class and this gymnastics class. It was the first time for her to be away from me in a more formal setting. We also loved going to our local library for story time. I miss Leslie, our children's librarian. She was so great! If you live near Northtown, take advantage of a wonderful children's librarian and all the programs she offers!
I need to remember this scene every time I get mad at my husband. The sight of him removing the carpet in our new(and first!) house was truly moving.
Buku, my mom and dad's dog. I didn't appreciate him much until I lost him while dogsitting.
Koko took these dog pictures. She and Cheeky love him so much. I'm so thankful for the lady who found him!

2007 was a difficult year for me. My husband was in nursing school when I had Cheeky and I had a hard time juggling two small children by myself. 2008 was much better. I am still adjusting to my new life in a different state after being a Chicagoan for my entire life but I'm content and hopeful. I can't wait to see what God has in store for all of you and me in the new year! Happy New Year!
