Natural Deodorizers

I'm just not that happy with my Freshwave gel period. The constant replenishing and the dried up amber crystals are annoying. I think I'll be on the lookout for sales on beeswax candles but for now, I'm relying on some old standbys:

  • Apple peelings--just boil and it sweetens and freshens up the kitchen! I've even used this successfully after curries and stinky but delicious daengang chigae. This is my favorite so far.
  • Coffee--boiling some seems to help a lot.
  • Cinnamon sticks--even boiling plain cinnamon will do the trick.
  • Whole cloves--left in small bowls seem to make a difference. I wouldn't use this in the kitchen, but why not the living room? It's a natural potpourri.
What do you use to deodorize your kitchen and other living spaces? And if you use beeswax candles, what is your favorite brand?

This reminds me that I need to make smelling jars for Koko.
