What's New This Week

Is it almost fall already? This past Saturday, both of my children had the opportunity to release Monarch butterflies as they make their great migration to Mexico! Very exciting, though Koko was more excited about being able to ride the camel and touch the stingrays. She was also sad to hear that the female tiger is going to another zoo, but when I explained how she is going to another zoo to meet a male tiger and possibly have a family, she felt better and concluded, "She must have been lonely in our zoo."

Anyway, some new activities for this week:

• Moveable Alphabet's first place holding exercise

• Leaf Pin punching from Our Montessori Story

• Apple stamping (Learning left-to-right)

• Learning days of our week song and month songs

• Memory Verse: Psalms 103: 12
  

• Nature's Rainbow (I don't know if we'll get to this activity this week, but I want to do it soon. It would be great to do for each season!)
