The problem with homemade bread...

is that no matter how much you make, it disappears way too quickly.

On Mother's Day, my grumpy husband and I made bagels with this Express Bagel Recipe for the first time. (We both caught the awful cold my kids had last week.) If you use a bread machine, please add more water than called for in the recipe. For the second batch, we just used our hands.

Our second batch sprinkled generously with Asiago cheese. Yum! All these bagels disappeared in almost one day!

Then yesterday, I made Soule Mama's WHO Bread (recipe here) with the bread machine I purchased at a garage sale recently. It's a slightly sweet bread that tastes great toasted with butter. Koko likes it with peanut butter. Cheeky who has a sweet tooth loves it with peanut butter and blueberry jam.

I plan on making Muffin bread next!
