Handmade Nativity Set

Okay, that's as far as we got this year. My husband and Koko made these out of Crayola's Air-Drying Clay. Incidentally, I did receive an e-mail from them that this product is phthalate-free.
I was impressed with my husband's newly found pottery skills. He used a butter knife, cotton swab, and wet it constantly to get the desired effect.

Look at Mary's hair.

We laughed because Mary's shoulders are a bit broad. I doubt this will last until next year. This material does harden overnight, but it is fragile and easily breaks.

"What about Joseph, the shepherds, and the angels?"Koko asked, but dad was tired.
Koko made Baby Jesus. What big eyes and ears he has! And look at the swaddling cloth and arms poking out.

Baby Jesus in the manger.

I think it's great how your husband got into the clay crafts for the family. Doing stuff together's awesome.
